They are banning dictionaries in a US district because they contain sexual definitions. All copies of Merrium-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary were pulled from the shelves of the 9000 student K-8 district last week.
The Menifee Union School District is forming a committee to review whether dictionaries containing sexual definitions should be banned from the district's classrooms permanently.
This came after the parent of a pupil at Oak Elementary school complained that her child had stumbled upon the definition for 'oral sex'.
Menifee is a city located in Southwestern Riverside County, California, United States.
