The correct name for Man Boobs or Moobs is Gynecomastia. It is an irregular swelling in the chest area of males, which can make thinner men look feminine. Overweight men tend to carry them off better. Having the condition can be quite stressful, as little can be done to hide or cover Gynecomastia.
Fortunately, it can be treated to reduce or eliminate.
Gynecomastia has a number of causes, ranging from genetic syndromes to an unhealthy diet. One of the most widespread beliefs about this condition is that it can also be brought about by the use of the drug, Marijuana.
Certain studies, done on animals and humans, have shown that Marijuana use reduces levels of the male hormone, testosterone. This can cause a number of things such as reduced sperm count, a shrinking of the testicles, and the outbreak of Gynecomastia. It indeed stands to reason that as male hormones decrease, the hormonal balance in the male body will shift towards the feminine side which will in turn initiate certain feminization changes in the body, one of which is Gynecomastia.
However, many people, mainly marijuana smokers, still believe the connection between Marijuana use and Gynecomastia is nothing but a myth.
But still ---> SHRINKS THE TESTICLES! The thought of Munchkin Balls alone should be enough to make one reduce their intake of marijuana.
I think further study is needed. We clearly need weed that doesn't reduce or increase anything outside of what we're smoking it for. I'm willing to compromise on sperm, as the world is over-populated as it is.
