Sex Fact #340

Dr John Zenian claims, in the Medical Hypotheses journal, that an excess of sex could be responsible for the increase in wrist injuries and especially Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome which is one of the most reported wrist conditions in the United Kingdom is normally caused by the use of heavy vibrating machinery or constant repetitive movements such as heavy computer use or playing the guitar.

Dr Zenian says that Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is just one form of repetitive sex injury and that constant repetitive movements which occur during sex in the missionary position put an extra amount of weight on the wrists.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome causes a great deal of pain because it traps sensitive nerves which can also lead to a feeling of numbness.

He specifically pointed out that the increase in middle aged and older people suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome could be a result of the introduction of the impotence medication Viagra, as well as Cialis and Levitra, which have enabled them to continue having sex despite having weaker wrists due to age.

Dr Zenian claims that there is a direct link in the increase of the amount of men suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and the arrival of Viagra over ten years ago.
